Summary

We would like to propose adding node.xmr.pub:443 to Feather Wallet's default curated remote node list.

The node is hosted on dedicated bare-metal infrastructure with a low-latency Silicon Valley BGP upstream, running the official monerod core with restricted RPC and full SSL/TLS encryption. It is officially verified and listed as healthy on monero.fail.

Node Specifications

  • Hostname: node.xmr.pub
  • Port: 443 (Standard HTTPS)
  • Protocol: HTTPS / TLS (Valid Let's Encrypt CA certificate)
  • RPC Mode: --restricted-rpc enabled (Safe for public wallet synchronization)
  • Network: Monero Mainnet
  • Location: US-West (Silicon Valley, California)
  • Dual-Stack: IPv4 & IPv6 reachable
  • Block Height: Fully synchronized with mainnet tip (Verified at height 3,763,527+)
  • Operator: xmr.pub Infrastructure Group

Privacy & Logging Policy

In accordance with Feather’s strict privacy standards:

  1. Zero Client IP Logging: Reverse proxies at the network edge do not log or store full client IP addresses.
  2. Ephemeral Network Traces: Internal operational logs apply /16 subnet masking and are subjected to automated 72-hour cryptographic shredding.
  3. No Commercial Analytics: Zero tracking scripts, telemetry, or external web beacons.

Verification Proofs

  1. monero.fail Listing:
    The node has been scanned and verified live on the official monero.fail public tracker:

  2. Self-Verification Commands:

    • Check Synchronization & Restricted Status:
      curl -s -X POST https://node.xmr.pub:443/json_rpc \
           -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":"0","method":"get_info"}' \
           -H 'Content-Type: application/json' | jq .result.restricted
      # Returns: true
    • Confirm Administrative RPC is Blocked:
      curl -s -X POST https://node.xmr.pub:443/stop_daemon
      # Returns 404 or restricted access rejection (daemon cannot be stopped remotely)

Proposed nodes.json Snippet

To facilitate quick integration into src/nodes.json:

{
  "url": "node.xmr.pub:443",
  "ssl": true,
  "custom": false
}
