unnecessary rebuild when project with more than 1 dependencies #1418
the latest Linux Eclipse CDT: eclipse-cpp-2025-12-R-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz
on Ubuntu 22.04
A executable ELF project(main1), depends on 2 Share Object projects(lib1, lib2),
the 3 projects compile OK, however, I noticed that,
if click "Build Project" for main1 again, the lib2 will be rebuilt unnecessarily.
the lib1 is not rebuilt as expect.
To Reproduce
Please see the attached code.
Build those 3 projects, should be OK.
do not change anything, select the main1 project, right click and select "Build Projct" again
select the lib2 project, and in the Console, the lib2 project is rebuilt. the Console log:
g++ ... lib2.cpp
...
Invoking: Cross G++ Linker
...
the lib1 project is not rebuilt as expect. the Console log is:
make: Nothing to be done for 'all'.
Expected behavior
If do not change anything, and click the "Build Project", lib2 should not be rebuilt.
BTW, if project main1 only depends on 1 project(lib1), the lib1 will not be rebuilt
