3.6.5.1: "System Theme" option now opens with a random color every open #255
I've downloaded a KDE Neon VM and wasn't able to reproduce the issue:
screenrecording-2026-09-05_13-22-50.mp4
Maybe your system is misconfigured somehow?
Try running this command when using a light theme and when using a dark theme. Paste here what it prints in each case (especially in cases where the app opens with the wrong color):
I found this, which seems to match your description: https://issues.chromium.org/issues/536445418.
It seems this has already been merged into Chromium (version 153.0.8010.18) but it probably won't land in Electron until their next major version.
Can you check if running the app with this env variable fixes your issue?

Also, please see if you can reproduce the issue in a VM to give me concrete steps I can follow to observe the bug.

the output is the same regardless of the what the application color shows. gdbus always shows the correct "dark color" option.
application shows wrong color:
application shows correct color:

I have again re-confirmed this is an application side regression:
3.6.4.4: 10 launches all the correct color
3.6.5.1: 6 launches with the correct color, 4 launches with the incorrect color
