Active text color not indicated in the color picker for selected text #7
When you select a piece of text in Quillo, the toolbar icons correctly reflect the active formatting applied to that selection — e.g. bold, italic, underline (U), and
strikethrough (S) all show as active on their respective icons.
However, the current text color of the selection is not indicated anywhere. There is no visual cue showing which color is already applied to the selected text.
Proposed solution
When the color picker is opened, it should indicate which color is currently applied to the selected text.
Ideally this should not be done by changing a color (which could be confusing against the swatches themselves), but instead by:
highlighting the active swatch with a thicker/bolder border, or
showing a checkmark inside the active swatch.
Why
This brings the color picker in line with the other formatting controls (bold/italic/U/S), which already make the active state of the selection visible. It helps users immediately
see the current color without guessing.
