This decision to not upload images from the CLI made sense in 2021, but now it does not. There's clear demand for it now with AI agents using the gh cli to make pull requests with images as part of the evidence without having a third party intermediary or doing it manually ourselves. |

I agree, and I would also add videos. It makes a lot of sense, because right now the amount of material we have to review generated by the agents is huge, so any image or video that shows what the agent has created is very useful, and the demand for it is going to keep growing. |

Four years later and I would like to request this again. Would be great if my AI assisted coding workflow could take and upload screenshots for my changes. Taking them works, uploading them is currently not possible. |

I found this after asking an AI agent to add screenshots to its PR body. To complete the task, it pushed up a commit with two screenshots, then inserted them into the PR description. The commit automatically flagged other teams for review ( |

This feature would be awesome for my workflow with AI. I'm using Claude to generate PRs from my commits, and I have some videos showcasing the work done but I have to manually push them to the PR through the web interface. Doing so from CLI would be great |

For the AI usage purpose, I think it's better to have it since I let my AI create the PR for me, and upload screenshots as the evidences. |
