My main use case is to inspect the release notes for my projects' dependencies when upgrading their versions. I have <current> and <target> versions, so gh release view <target>...<current> would work very well.

Would it be possible to make either end of the range optional? For example:

• view ...v1.0.0 from current version down to v.1.0.0
• view v1.2.3... starting from version v1.2.3 downwards

Like with gh release list, there could be a --limit / -L flag to limit the number of releases to show.

P.S. it makes sense to me to reverse the ends of the range to <more-recent>...<less-recent> in light of gh release list showing most recent release first.

I dig that. Feel free to open an issue for a feature proposal! One could opt into this mode using an optional flag to render release notes for a range of releases. 🤘
