The following table describes the permissions this app requests and why.

Permission Access Justification
Administration Read and write This is only used in Meta-managed repositories to install Rulesets to ensure consistency between our internal repository and GitHub.
Checks Read and write This is used to provide additional information about commits on Pull Requests.
Contents Read and write This is used to merge Pull Requests and push out internal changes to the repository.
Issues Read and write This is used to automatically close linked Issues when they are linked to a Pull Request or Commit.
Metadata Read-only This is a required permission by GitHub.
Pull Requests Read and write This is used to export and import code between GitHub and Meta-internal repositories.
Workflows Read and write This is used to start workflows when the app pushes new changes from Meta-internal repositories in both Commits and Pull Request exports.

Meta CodeSync is provided by a third-party and is governed by separate terms of service, privacy policy, and support documentation.
