Windows v1 project picker hides forward-slash absolute paths #57785
On Windows with OpenCode 1.19.3, the web project's folder picker finds an existing directory when entered as C:\projects\example, but shows no result for C:/projects/example.
The server can list the directory. In the legacy DialogSelectDirectory, search rows are built from native backslash-formatted paths; the final List/fuzzysort filter then compares them with the forward-slash query and hides the valid result.
I have a small local fix that indexes both separator forms without changing the selected path. Its regression test fails when the forward-slash alias is removed. All 26 directory-picker-domain tests and app type checking pass; the compiled Windows build was also verified in the browser and works on my machine.
Would you accept a PR against v1 for this fix? The affected files remain on v1, but are absent from the current dev tree checked on October 21. I haven't opened a PR and will wait for guidance on whether a v1 fix is welcome.
Related: #46661 describes Windows path-completion/separator problems; this report isolates the final search filter in 1.19.3.
OpenCode version
1.19.3
Steps to reproduce
Have an existing directory outside the user profile, for example C:\projects\example.
Start opencode web and choose Open project.
Paste C:/projects/example: no matching folder appears.
Paste C:\projects\example: the directory appears and can be opened.
Expected: both separator forms find the same directory.
Thanks for the clear report and root-cause analysis, and for asking before opening a PR.
1.19.3 is OpenCode v1. v1 now gets fixes only for critical bugs (data loss, security problems, or crashes and breakage with no workaround). Typing the path with backslashes (C:\projects\example) still finds and opens the directory, so this one is unlikely to be fixed in v1, and a PR against v1 probably won't be merged.
We recommend upgrading to OpenCode v2 (@opencode/cli). It's a separate implementation, and the legacy DialogSelectDirectory component isn't part of it.
