V2 TUI: add fast session overview and pinned session shortcuts #36193
Session switching is still too slow/heavy for users living across many V2 sessions. Claude's left-to-overview affordance is worth copying in spirit: fast access matters more than copying its exact UI.
Scope
Explore Left as a fast session overview/switcher entry point.
Explore pinned sessions with Ctrl-1/2/3/... where terminal input makes that viable.
Prefer chordable, low-latency navigation over a large new tab surface.
Keep compatibility with users who prefer multiple terminal tabs.
The "fast access matters more than the exact UI" framing resonates — that's the bet behind oos: a keyboard-driven session switcher with no large UI surface at all. It preloads all sessions from SQLite and filters in memory on every keystroke (<1ms), so switching is type → Up/Down → Enter, across all projects at once.
No pinned shortcuts (Ctrl-1/2/3 is an interesting idea though) — but for the "jump back to a session in under 2 seconds" goal, a fuzzy picker over everything beats browsing per-project lists.
