Move the V2 TUI from the legacy @opencode-ai/sdk/v2 client to the new generated Promise client in @opencode-ai/client.
Checked against latest origin/v2 at f7034a35a8.
Already Supported By @opencode-ai/client
These should mostly be call-site rename/shape migrations. The new Promise client returns unwrapped values and throws declared errors instead of returning { data, error } / accepting { throwOnError: true }.
This is not a direct TUI migration blocker, but it adds a TUI simulation/control surface that should help validate V2 UI flows. Keep it referenced from the TUI migration umbrella as test/validation infrastructure, not as a core migration dependency.
This overlaps with V2 subagent/session navigation UX and may overlap with #34566 background running subagents. Decide whether #34135 is still needed after #34566, or whether it should be closed/superseded.
This is still a central prerequisite/parallel track for fully leaving legacy SDK surfaces in TUI/app. Keep it linked from the TUI migration umbrella until merged or superseded.
Audit update (2026-07-08): #34381 migrated the generated-client reads that had protocol coverage, and #35129 added V2 VCS status/diff APIs. Keeping this umbrella open for the remaining legacy SDK call sites and any still-missing protocol/server/client surfaces; the body’s “needs surface” inventory should be rechecked against current v2 before the next implementation slice.
The V2 TUI now uses the generated client throughout (@opencode/client, the renamed @opencode-ai/client, #47852). Nothing in packages/tui imports the legacy SDK anymore.

Split the core-missing pieces into separate tracking issues:
This umbrella can stay focused on the TUI migration and link out to implementation/API slices.

Split the non-experimental exposed API work into separate tracking issues:
Leaving experimental workspace/control-plane items out for now per thread discussion.

Recent/active TUI migration related work to keep linked from the umbrella:
Suggested tracker state: keep this as umbrella only; close/narrow child issues individually as their PRs land.
