The Linux app has no ER diagram. linux/ROADMAP.md, Backlog, Browse, edit and structure, lists "An ER diagram." The macOS app has one (features/er-diagram.mdx).
The schema can be read only table by table today: the structure tab shows one table's columns, indexes and foreign keys.
Proposed solution
Show ER Diagram for a schema, from the sidebar, opening a tab of its own.
Tables drawn as boxes with their columns, the primary key marked, and lines for foreign keys. Pan, zoom and drag tables, with an automatic layout to start from.
Select a table to highlight its keys; open it in a table tab from the diagram.
Export as PNG and SVG.
Drawn with GTK's own rendering, no web view (linux/AGENTS.md, Principles, Native only). This is the app's first hand-drawn view, so it also needs a keyboard path and a screen reader alternative, such as a list of tables and their relations, to keep release criterion 8 (linux/ROADMAP.md, Release criteria).
Read from the table definitions the drivers already fetch, in the background, with Stop for a schema of hundreds of tables.
Done means: a PostgreSQL schema of 50 tables opens as a diagram that can be read, moved around and exported, and the same works on the other engines with foreign keys.
