v7.0.0 no longer builds against current protobuf: protobuf's headers pull in abseil, and abseil 20260817 needs C++20 (std::partial_ordering) while the release pins CMAKE_CXX_STANDARD 17. This currently breaks eternal-terminal in nixpkgs unstable (NixOS/nixpkgs#568705).

Master already has the fix: #776 moved to C++20, and CMakeLists.txt enables the removed std::result_of trait for libc++ and MSVC so the bundled ThreadPool still compiles. A 7.0.1 tag would let downstream packages build without patching. Can you please cut a new release?
