(Issue & temporary workaround discovered by @Wordluc)

Confirmed that decfb54 [1.8.49] breaks codeium.vim in nvim.

Also, confirmed that rolling back to 289eb72 [1.8.37] fixes codeium.vim in nvim and restores normal functionality.
