Who am I?

Since 2014 I've been working to make the web more inclusive and user friendly. From the beautiful Tyrifjord near the Norwegian capital of Oslo I alternate between working from home and commuting to Telenor to work with my awesome team.

I pride myself on being an innovative and knowledgable developer. When given the chance I revel in the ability to discover and develop new technology.

Leadership is important to ensure teams can realise their potential. My leadership style focuses on creating a culture of innovation by giving developers autonomy and focusing on skill development.

My life in a nutshell

1991: Born in Hønefoss
2010: Graduated High School
2011: Middlesex University for one year
2012: Picked up jujutsu and music production
2013: Met my soulmate
2011–2014: Learned web dev, databases, photography, videography, design
2014: Finished bachelor building CMS and ecommerce platform from scratch
2014: Graduated University w/ Bsc. Multimedia computing and -design
2014: Joined Oslo Market Solutions (OMS) as junior web developer
2015: Got really into Linux and has been using it on desktops and servers since
2016: Migrated most OMS projects from Angular.js to React
2016: Developed libraries and frameworks for interfacing with websockets and realtime market data
2016: Learned C, C++ and Rust
2017: Got into security and privacy, started self-hosting email, CalDAV, CardDAV, NextCloud, etc.
2017: Promoted to team lead, got HR and architect responsibilities
2017: Moved to Slemmestad and commuted by boat for a few years
2018: Bought a car and roadtripped Norway
2018: Started playing pen & paper RPGs
2018: Entered OMS' extended managment group, reporting directly to CEO
2019: Bought house and moved "back home"
2019: Euronext aquires Oslo Børs VPS and OMS
2019: Spearheaded comprehensive stability initiatives including migration to TypeScript and workflow changes
2020: Built OpenShift-infrastructure platform
2021: Euronext divests non-core assets and sells OMS to Infront
2021: Bought another car and roadtripped Norway (again!)
2021: Joined Kartverket as Senior Engineer
2022: Became Product Owner for Kartverket's hybrid cloud initiative
2023: Put Kartverket on the map by speaking at multiple conferences, podcasts and wrote tech blogs
2024: Joined Telenor's platform team to strengthen their Google Cloud initiative
