Style Savvy fans, you will LOVE this replacement!!!

I like this game! It’s very free-to-play friendly while keeping a perfect balance between those players and those who want to pay. It’s hard to find games that balance both really well, most games are overpriced and barely let you do anything, but this game has resonable refills and cooldowns in my opinion! The only major thing I would change is to add back a way to look at previous makeovers, free-styling your avatar outside of makeovers, and our own apartment, all from their previous game, Hollywood Crush (and adding a way to skip special customers like Olivia and the Chest Cat, but that’s another story). Also, just like Project Makeover, you are forced to participate in certain events with no option to opt-out, I just want to merge. I’ve been looking for Style Savvy-like games after the absolute abysmal that was Fashion Dreamer, and this game is it, none of the other apps (yes, even Love Nikki) did it for me. Being clear, it’s not anywhere similar to the Style Savvy games, but this is the one that finally scratches the itch for me. Just keep in mind that if you’re free-to-play then the gameplay will be slower paced, but so far that doesn’t bother me too much

These games are fun to start out with but eventually you get to a point where you're using all your gameplay energy just to get part way towards the item you need and then you can't play again for at least an hour unless you buy more energy. Also, why would you ruin the OOTD challenge mini game by only allowing players to use such a small selection of clothing instead of making use of their whole closet? You now get one free item in each category - one free shirt, one free skirt etc. - that THEY pick, and that's the only outfit you can make unless you spend gems - which cost money. That's not a challenge at all - that's just a scam. I was in the top 10 rankings just using my own closet of items I earned and unlocked in the game, now I don't even want to participate because the look will be ugly unless I spend money. I'm tempted to delete over that change alone. Then it glitched so I couldn't submit my outfit even though it DID meet the parameters, and support was NO help - even having rude pop-ups telling you to stop being a "chatterbox" if you sent two messages close together. I've also noticed that like most mobile games these days, they tell you you've earned a certain amount of coins, gems or energy and you don't actually receive the full amount. I earned 100 energy this morning and only received 95. They do this so you will run out and buy more. Sketchy AF guys.

This game had a lot of potential. The story is enjoyable, and it’s fun to choose how the character is going to respond. The graphics are great. I love how they only give three options at a time. What I don’t like is not being able to go back and change my selections before the event or the look is completed. Also, in between events, it’s kind of dumb how they leave her in the event outfit instead of putting her in a casual outfit. She literally shows up to the next event in the previous events clothing/ makeup, then says, ‘I need to go change…” fix that guysThe merge is where they’ve lost me. You don’t progress fast enough in the merge process to actually continue with the story. You have to buy gems and I’m not going to do that. I would rather watch 30 seconds of ads for 100 energy every five minutes so I can keep freaking merging. Because the developers have made this part too slow this is a game stopper for me.

Same Old Sexism

It is prettier and more engaging than the match 3 versions of this category, but it seems to have a weird blend of mismatched art styles. A lot of the art feels distinctly AI. The character and makeover tasks has the usual sexism and racism issues that every dev just can’t seem to be creative enough not to play into. All the player character options are stick thin, and while there are some hair and skin tone options all the faces are very white washed. I will say the clothing tasks are much better than other games, I like the layered customization for color and patterns. The story itself feels like one of those short video series or a reality TV show, but badly written. A lot of the dialogue doesn’t make sense, lots of logical inconsistencies, and the main character has no agency. She’s just an airhead being driven by rivalry with women around her, her relationships with men, or shallow shoehorned backstory drivers. In the devs favor, you can tell someone is at least trying to play *some* lip service towards not being sexist from the scene when player character reports harassment and is believed + the male coworker gets fired.
