Protect Wildlife
Rare animals will return as we build a peaceful village and protect them together.
The sarus crane is the tallest flying bird in the world, standing at up to 1.8 meters tall with a wingspan that can stretch past 2.5 meters. In Vietnam, these striking red-headed birds are an iconic migratory species of the Mekong River Delta, arriving each dry season to feed on the regions wetlands. Decades of habitat loss have made their sightings rarer, but now some of them are finding refuge in simulation game My Little Village, developed by two former classmates who grew up in the Delta itself. Build up your own village, then make it a better place for both people and animals.
What we love: Saving the sarus cranes. Look out for trapped cranes hiding around your village, then rescue them from the nets. As you continue with rescuing, the crane flock will grow larger and stay in the village’s rice paddy fields.
Don't miss: As the event progresses, you can rescue even more endangered animals, such as the green sea turtles and the legendary Saola (often nicknamed 'the Asian unicorn').
