One of our favourite apps for learning another language, the process is genuinely fun. What’s more, all those languages and games are available for free!
I love it

I have been using duolingo for 4,5 languages .. the best course yet is Spanish one. I feel its structured better then some other courses possibly because spanish is more popular language . I love those TIPS you can read before every lesson and they teach you some grammar that is used in the lesson and it’s written very well and easy to understand . I wish there was more vocabulary per lesson , some “easy” nouns are being repeated a lot and I wish they would introduce more vocabulary per lesson . Also I don’t know if it’s a new feature but there are interactive stories you can read and then answer some questions during the reading and it’s awesome! And they are leveled so it matches your knowledge . Maybe it’s not a best language learning app but it’s free and they don’t bother you with adds a lot! So for me it is the best I have found .

Hi I have been using Duolingo for more then 2 years now and I love when we used to have 5 hearts and when we lost all of them we had to practice to gain them bac, I really liked that because you keep learning. It was also good when you had go watch ads for them. I don’t really like the energy new thing you added because I do 2 perfect lessons and the energy is already gone even though I haven’t got one exercise wrong??!!! but I need to do more lessons to finish the quests, I do find that kind of annoying soo pleaseee bring back heart lifes!!!! The rest of the app is good but I suggest adding some new phrases not just repeating the old ones. Also I thought (this is just an idea) that you could add like a real life situation for example one of your characters is talking to me and asking me questions like where I am from and why did I decide to visit this country. Maybe for example going to the cafe and ordering something or being lost in the streets and asking where the main square is. I just thought that would be really cool. But when they ask me questions I respond with my microphone. You can also customize the text I am saying. Of course I know that is not very easy to add I just thought that would be fun. That’s it!

I love using Duolingo to learn languages, and it is such great app an the best about it is that you can learn for free. But the biggest issue is the thing that developers changed in last several updates and it is lives that you must have to play. It used to be like this, when you loose all 5 of your lives, you would play some of the old lectures and practice and repeat some of the old stuff, and in return you could gain lives to play it forward. Now you can make only one of those lectures after loosing all the lives, and after redeeming one you cannot play any more. It is that you can play other lectures, the new ones, but you have no place for a mistake, and we all know very well that when you learn something new, you cannot just know all that from nothing. You have to make a mistake to learn something. Please just bring this option back to the app, there must be plenty of people that are anyway paying a subscription because they want unlimited lives. And anyway those adds in between each lesson is probably making even more money than people would pay for a full subscription.
